World Rainforest Movement
Posted: 31 July 2001
WRM established in 1996, is an international network of North and South groups seeking to protect the world's rainforests. It works to secure the lands and livelihoods of forest peoples and supports them in defending forests from commercial logging, dams, mining, plantations, shrimp farms, colonisation and settlement and other projects that threaten them. Its website provides a wealth of information on forest issues, including information on the state of the world's forests, country reports, publications, campaigns, it's news bulletin and links.
