ISIS - International Species Information System

Posted: 7 March 2001

ISIS supports conservation of species by helping 550 zoological institutions, including about half of the world's "recognised" zoos and aquariums manage their living collections. Its website provides information on PC software for sound specimen record-keeping and collection management. Information is available on 286,000 living specimens of 7,500 species, along with an additional 1,413,000 of their ancestors. Its website also includes its newsletter and links.
